FP EN ALZA
Gestamp Foundation firmly believes in the importance and role of Vocational Training in Spain. In this sense, the Foundation, together with FAD Juventud, is launching the FP en Alza project, an initiative with the aim of raising awareness among the younger population about the perception and social stigma of Vocational Training in Spain.
Throughout 2024, a sociological research has been carried out: “The Perception of the youth about VET in Spain”, whose aim is to analyze the perception and expectations that the young population has about VET education at national level.
Among the most important conclusions of the study, it has been found that:
- Seven out of ten young people value VET as a complete and quality option, highlighting its ability to specialize or learn a trade quickly and efficiently.
- 9% of young people who completed their VET studies found employment in less than three months, and 22.1% did so between three and six months.
- One in three young people say they did not receive enough information about Vocational Training during their primary and secondary education, which reduces their options when making subsequent training decisions.
Following the presentation and dissemination of the report, an awareness-raising campaign is planned for social networks and the media throughout 2025.
