Gestamp Foundation partners with Lauaxeta Ikastola on Mugitek Lab, a project aimed at promoting learning through the design and manufacturing of electric vehicles.

Integrated into the school curriculum since 2021, the project fosters STEAM vocations, teamwork, and knowledge sharing, engaging more than 150 elementary, middle, and high school students.

With strong ties to the automotive industry in the Basque Country, Mugitek Lab seeks to strengthen the relationship between education and the business sector, as well as to enhance STEAM-oriented learning pathways—an objective shared by Gestamp Foundation.

In addition to contributing its automotive expertise through industry professionals, the foundation will support the team in competitions and training activities. Students will also have the opportunity to visit Gestamp Group facilities to gain firsthand insight into the sector’s processes and technologies.

This collaboration aligns with Gestamp Foundation’s focus areas of mobility and education, reinforcing its commitment to technical training and the development of key skills for the future of the industry. Through initiatives like this, the foundation helps bridge the gap between education and the business world while promoting more sustainable mobility.
