RURALBOTIC
Gestamp Foundation, in collaboration with ASTI Foundation, has launched RuralBOTic, an educational project focused on robotics and programming in the rural environment. The program aims to offer young people from five schools in the province of Burgos the opportunity to get started in the world of technology, a key area for professional development in the future. The students receive robotic kits and, through training sessions, work on projects that they will present at a final event in May.
The initiative seeks to reduce the digital divide in rural areas by providing young women with tools that will enable them to acquire technological skills and improve their job prospects. In addition, the students will participate in visits to the Edscha Burgos production plant, where they will learn first-hand how robotics is applied in the automotive sector, connecting theory with practice in an industrial environment.
In addition, the project being carried out in Burgos has a special meaning for Gestamp Foundation, since the founder of the Gestamp Group, Francisco Riberas Pampliega, was born in Rabé de las Calzadas, the town where the final event of the project will take place.
