Formula Student is an international competition that allows university students to participate in an actual professional experience within the automotive industry. The teams design, create and build a single-seater race car, combining technical knowledge in engineering with key interpersonal skills such as business planning and project management. 

Fundación Gestamp will provide continuity to the project led by Gestamp, bringing a social focus on the collaboration with universities. Through this initiative, essential values such as innovation capacity and teamwork will be promoted.  

Fundación Gestamp will support teams from various Spanish universities, distributed in different regions: 

• Madrid: ICADE – Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Universidad Carlos III.
• Barcelona: Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
• Basque Country: Universidad del País Vasco, Tecnun – School of Engineering and University of Vitoria.
• Valencia: Polytechnic University of Valencia.
• Vigo: University of Vigo.

In addition to the financial support, teams will be granted the opportunity to visit Gestamp facilities, including the production plants closest to each team’s location. They will also benefit from mentorship and guidance from industry experts, who will support them throughout the development of their project and offer both technical and strategic advice.

As part of the program, the Teams Meeting will be organized, where university representatives will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, visit Gestamp’s facilities and participate in sessions with industry experts.
