Formula Student is an international competition in which college students design, develop, and build a single-seater race car, applying their knowledge of engineering, automotive technology, innovation, and mobility.

It is a comprehensive educational experience that exposes students to the professional realities of the industrial sector and allows them to develop key skills such as project management, business planning, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The Gestamp Foundation supports this initiative with the goal of fostering young talent and strengthening the connection between academia and industry. Formula Student embodies values that are essential to the Foundation—such as commitment, perseverance, cooperation, trust, and camaraderie—which are evident in the way the teams work, learn, and tackle each challenge.

In this way, students can engage directly with industry experts, gain a better understanding of the challenges facing the automotive sector, and transform the knowledge acquired in the classroom into real-world solutions.

As part of the program, the Gestamp Foundation organizes the Teams’ Meeting, a one-day event that brings together representatives from participating universities to share experiences, gain firsthand insight into Gestamp’s industrial operations, and participate in sessions with industry experts.

Through this initiative, the Gestamp Foundation reaffirms its commitment to education, employability, and the development of STEM talent, creating learning opportunities connected to the industry’s real-world challenges.
