INITIATIVES
RE-START
Re-START is a Gestamp Foundation initiative that aims to give a second life to IT equipment from the Gestamp Group by refurbishing and reusing it for educational purposes.
The initiative extends the useful life of existing equipment while facilitating access to technological resources for employees’ families. In this way, Re-START brings together circularity, education and corporate volunteering, transforming available resources into new opportunities for learning.
The first edition of Re-START was carried out in collaboration with Gestamp Argentina, where 15 computers from the Córdoba and Buenos Aires plants were refurbished and donated to employees’ children of school age.
The project involved 11 volunteers, who contributed 123 volunteering hours to refurbishing and preparing the equipment, making this first edition possible and giving these technological resources a new purpose.
