As part of Gestamp Foundation’s commitment to education and the promotion of STEAM disciplines, twelve children between the ages of nine and eleven from the San Cristóbal neighborhood have participated in ‘I Speak Code’, an intensive program designed to introduce them to the programming language. The initiative, organized by Gestamp Foundation in collaboration with CODE.org and Fundación Montemadrid, has been held for three months at Casa San Cristóbal in Madrid.

Throughout the course, the children learned fundamental programming concepts through practical and dynamic activities designed to make learning accessible and entertaining. The program culminated with an open house session in which the participants presented their projects to family and friends and received their course diplomas.

Gestamp Foundation carries out this program with the aim of fostering digitalization and promoting STEAM vocations by bringing technological training closer to communities with greater challenges, such as the San Cristóbal neighborhood in Madrid, highlighting the importance of reducing the digital divide from an early age.
