As part of the collaboration between Gestamp Foundation and the Royal Academy of Engineering within the Women and Engineering initiative, the “Transformative Mentoring” program seeks to bring the professional environment closer to vocational training students through coaching sessions, training and direct contact with specialists in the industrial sector.
As part of this program, students visited Gestamp’s offices to participate in a face-to-face mentoring session and a practical workshop given by company professionals. During the day, they gained practical insight into how the company works, shared experiences with their mentors, and worked on skills that complement their training.
The program aims to promote STEAM vocations, strengthen the professional development of young people through the recognition of talent and leadership, connect through real experiences, and contribute to equal opportunities in technological and industrial sectors.
The visit provided an opportunity to boost their motivation, broaden their view of the working environment, and strengthen the connection between education and business, demonstrating the value of joint initiatives such as this one in promoting young talent and preparing future generations of STEAM professionals.
